Every temp agency in town was busy with the new contract with the federal governement.  They could not handle our business.  We were stuck.  We had worked with both agencies for years, and now we were shut out.  This was a real problem.  We had no choice but to start running ads ourself and seeing who we could find.  Production orders were coming in like crazy, and we couldn't handle them.  We had just a few people that we had hired, and wwe had to let some of them go, for various reasons.  Sally might have to get to put together a HR department of sorts.  We need people right away.   Sally talked with me later in the afternoon, and I told her that I would call a meeting of the board of directors and see if we couldn't create a postion for her.  I don't think this will be a problem.  We soon had a meeting with the board, and they agreed that this was the way to go, that we couldn't count on agencies anymore.  The board voted and I told Sally the next day.  I think she liked the challenge of a new position.   I made sure that they also approved a nice raise for her.
