GOVERNMENT WEBSITES
As much information as I found online about filing for bankruptcy, I was pleasantly surprised to find that a lot of the information out there in front of people is about ways to avoid it. It makes me feel better to know that not everyone is a complete and total vulture, preying on people who are desperate for help with their financial troubles. It is possible that I’m giving people more credit than they deserve though. I mean, most of the places I found won’t give you much-needed information on avoiding personal bankruptcy until you pay for it first. Either that or they offer you some information just to get you hooked, then near the end offer the rest of it for a price. If I were someone looking for information on bankruptcy and how to avoid it, I would check out government websites and hunt for websites offering a helping hand free of charge. I know they’re certainly out there; you just might have to do a little extra searching around for them. In any case, I think it’s a good thing there are ways to help avoid bankruptcy despite the fact that people are making money off of it.
