HOMELAND SECURITY

We spent the next couple of days with the police.  Worse, we had to call in the FBI, who in turn called in other branches of Homeland Security.  We have some sensitive cut tools.  Things that are built and shipped for defense contractors.  This was a mess.  We spent hours upon hours answering questions.  Most of which we couldn't answer well, as we had been gone from the business for 5 months.  The police were not pleased when they learned that we had been gone those months, but they took it in stride.  The FBI were not pleased either.  They thought that if we check our contract we will find that we have to remain actively involved in the business and not turn over operations to anybody else.  This for security reasons.  We were in big trouble.  We could be arrested.  We never thought this would be the outcome of our interviews with the police and with the FBI.  We were the ones that were robbed and victimized.  The police were more concerned with rounding up the former company officers, and the FBI and Homeland Security were more interested in questioning us.  We decided to call Pete, our lawyer.   He told us to get a hold of the corporate council and that we would meet us down at the plant immediately.  Meanwhile, he told us not to say anything more.  We were lawyered up.
