I work in a law office downtown. I have been there for 17 years now. I must say I do enjoy my job.. I was thinking how time flies. When I started there, I worked part time on the night shift, because my kids were in school and I needed to be there for them in the mornings and when they got home in the afternoons. When my husband came home, I would go to my part-time job. I started off working with the litigation attorneys and then the bancarrota attorneys. I did a lot of editing and processing of documents for many of the different departments in the firm. . I did that for about 4 years. Finally, I moved on to work during the day and became a full time employee, too. It sure is a difference changing from working at night to working in the daytime. Mostly, it’s getting used to commuting. There is also a lot more activity that I ever realized going on during the day. The office is buzzing with activity, where at night, it’s pretty quiet, even though there are attorneys who seem to never go home. I think I prefer days.

Mycousin came from Mexico to live with our family while he attends school. He said life here is so different than his small town. Soon after arriving at our home, he began getting applications for credit cards. He filled out every form and the cards kept coming in. He didn’t realize what he was doing and ended up racking up to many bills that he had no way to pay them off. He thought life was so easy here and didn’t give any thought of how he was going to pay for all the stuff he bought. He acted like a kid in a candy store and he certainly should have known better. He had bills coming in from all over now, plus the bills from school besides. He spoke with a school counselor and they told him he had to get a part-time job to start getting his bills paid. He was much to young to file for bancarrota and he didn’t even file for income taxes here yet. I sure hope he doesn’t get into trouble with the government. I don’t want them coming after me and my family for something we had no control over. The government should control all these places that give out credit cards to everybody.
